We create stylish, quality, printed canvas art for children's rooms. Our creations include original computer-generated designs and giclee (pronounced gee-clay) digital reproductions of original paintings. The specialised giclee technique we use is the same technique used by the finest art galleries around the world so you can be assured of quality. Like these galleries, we want our artwork to endure well into the future so we only use the best materials.

Our giclee prints look just like original paintings and contain all the unique, painterly qualities that the artist intended. Many of our designs contain beautiful embellishments such as beads, sequins and ribbon and because these embellishments have been hand-finished each artwork features its own unique detailing.

We stretch our canvas over a rear MDF frame and complete it with a hook at the back so it comes to you in an easy and cost-effective, ready-to-hang way. All our artwork features a thick 4cm edge which not only looks great but also enables you to display your art standing on furniture or leaning against a wall.

The most convenient method of paying for your goods is with your MasterCard or VISA credit card through our 128bit SSL secure website. We also accept credit card payment by phone or fax. You may also pay with a cheque, money order or by electronic funds transfer or direct deposit.

Delivery

Please add $9.95 for freight and handling to each item in your order. Delivery is via courier. Your order should arrive within 2-7 days. Your postage and handling charge will be added during checkout. Loss or damage is very rare. When damage does occur we will replace the order (subject to availability) at our expense. Please advise us by email online@gelatiart.com.au of the loss or damage and return the damaged item and its packaging to us with your receipt and contact details. Returned items must be sent via Registered Post to us.

Returns

We hope you will love your Gelati Art canvas art but if for some reason you aren't completely happy with your purchase you may exchange your purchase for an item of the same value or request a credit note. Unfortunately, we can not offer refunds. Products must be returned within 7 days from the date you received your item and in the same condition as when they were purchased with shrink wrap plastic still intact. Unfortunately, we can not accept returned items that have been opened, used, damaged, soiled, marked, scratched or misused in any way.

Please advise us by email online@gelatiart.com.au about your return before sending it to us and include your receipt and contact details as well as your reason for wanting to return your item. After we have received your email we will advise you to send your merchandise and its packaging to us with your receipt and contact details. Returned items must be sent to us via Registered Post at your expense.

Please allow two weeks from the day you return your package for you to receive your replacement item or credit note. Customers will be responsible for shipping and handling charges unless there is a fault on our part e.g. the wrong item was sent to you.

Tips for choosing, hanging and caring for your art

Choosing

• Choose art that you and your child will love.
• Be mindful of the colour scheme in your child's room but remember everything in a room doesn't need to match exactly. Just as you wouldn't hang artwork that co-ordinates exactly with furnishings in your own bedroom or lounge room so everything in your child's room doesn't need to co-ordinate exactly. Matching bed linen, curtains and decor can look contrived, overdone and unimaginative. Instead, why not select decor, furnishings and bed linen that are simple and classic so you can update and refresh the look easily if you want to in the future.
• Choose artwork that acts as an accent to the room. Eye-catching colour can be a dramatic focal point. Alternatively, choose art that tones in with your child's room to create a more tranquil environment.

Hanging

• All artwork is supplied with a hook at the back of the artwork. Whilst all hooks are placed in exactly the same position on the back of the artwork, slight variation can occur. If you want to hang your set in a straight row, we recommend you measure each artwork individually.
• If you want to avoid hammering in hooks permanently, you may want to consider removable hooks (such as 3M adhesive removable strip hooks which can be purchased at supermarkets and hardware stores). This will give you flexibility if you want to move your artwork at a later date as they don't leave marks on walls when removed. Gelati Art decor also looks great propped up against a wall on a piece of furniture which removes the need for hooks completely.
• Hang your Gelati Art decor high so it is admired by little eyes and minds and not touched by little hands. It is important to note that hand-embroidered and hand-crafted Gelati Art decor may contain small loose parts such as beads, sequins and ribbons. These loose parts are choking hazards and are therefore not suitable for children under three years of age.
• Large sized Gelati Art decor looks striking hung above the head of a bed. Smaller pieces add a focal point to a room when hung together in small groups. Most of our small sets look good either hung horizontally or vertically. Sets of three also work in a triangle configuration above a bed head and sets of four are intended to be hung all together or in smaller sets of two.

Caring

• Use extreme care when removing your canvas art from its delivery box and its shrink wrap plastic - especially if your artwork contains hand-embroidered embellishments as these can easily snare and come off if not handled carefully.
• Treat your canvas prints as you would an original acrylic or oil painting on canvas.
• Avoid over-handling your canvas art and when you do handle it we recommend you hold your art by the frame at the back so as to avoid leaving finger marks on the canvas. Special care should be taken when handling hand-crafted Gelati Art decor as the embellishments are delicate and fragile and may easily come off.
• Although the ink we use is fade-resistant and water-resistant, we recommend you hang your Gelati Art decor away from direct sunlight and wet areas. Please note, canvas is an organic product and will respond to climatic extremes so be careful not to hang your artwork outdoors, in areas of humidity, or areas of severe temperature fluctuations.
• If moving or storing your Gelati Art decor be sure to treat it with care. Wrapping it in bubble wrap will help to protect it.
